Making Galle City Plastic Waste Free
ජාත්‍යන්තර සංවර්ධනය සඳහා වන එක්සත් ජනපද නියෝජිතායතනයේ ( USAID) ආයතනයේ, නිකසල නගර- නිල් සාගර ( Clean Cities Blue Ocean) වැඩසටහනේ අනුග්‍රහයෙන්, හෙල්ප්-ඕ ආයතනයේ සංවිධායකත්වයෙන්,ක්‍රියාවට නංවා ඇති ‘පිවිතුරු ගාලු නගරයක් සඳහා වන සහයෝගිතා ව්‍යාපෘතිය’ යටතේ, කසළ කළමනාකරණය විධිමත් කිරීම සඳහා තෝරාගත් ප්‍රජාවක් වන සලාමියා වත්ත ( ගෙවල් 70) ප්‍රජාවේ ඝන අපද්‍රව්‍ය කළමණාකරණ ක්‍රියාකාරී සැළැස්ම සකස් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන, 2023.08.17 වන දින ගාල්ල හසාරා හෝටලයේදී පැවැත්විය. මේ සඳහා ගාල්ල මහා නගර සභාවේ ඝන අපද්‍රව්‍ය කළමනාකරණ අංශයේ නිලධාරීන්, ග්‍රාම නිලධාරී තුමිය, කඩවත් සතර ප්‍රාදේශීය මහ ලේකම් කාර්‍යාලයේ, පරිසර නිලධාරී තුමිය ,හෙල්ප්- ඕ ආයතනයේ සභාපති තුමා, බොම්බේ කාසල් ප්‍රජා නියෝජිතයන් සහ හෙල්ප්-ඕ කාර්‍යමණ්ඩලයේ නිලධාරීන් සහභාගී විය.
මෙහිදී, ක්‍රියාකාරකම් පාදකව, සලාමියා වත්ත සඳහා ඝන අපද්‍රව්‍ය කළමනාකරණ සැළැස්ම කෙටුම්පත් කිරීමද සිදු කරන ලදි.♻️
A program for preparation of solid waste management action plan of Salamia Watta (70 houses), a community selected , was held on 17.08.2023 at Galle Hasara Hotel under the ‘Collaboration Project for a Clean Galle City’ implemented by the Help-O Institute under the auspices of the Clean Cities Blue Ocean Program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). For this, the officers of the solid waste management department of the Galle Municipal Council, Grama Niladhari, Kadawat Satara Divisional General Secretariat, Environment Officer, Chairman of Help-O Institute, Bombay Castle community representatives and Help-O staff members participated.
Here, based on the activities, the Solid Waste Management Plan for Salamia Estate was also drafted.
